This exciting collection of 22 assorted old semi-precious etched beads with sizes ranging between 5-28mm.
The collection comprises a variety of shapes including round, oval, cubes, cylinder tubes, and flat tabular.
We understand these beads come from the north-eastern reaches of Afghanistan and the Egyptian Indus Valley across the border - have been etched to resemble soccer balls while others contain etched hieroglyphic graphics and would do well to find their way into any aspiring beaders jewellery-making bead box.
Just imagine the fun you could have in creating ethnic tribal jewellery.
It’s always nice to have a selection of semi-precious beads on hand to use when creating a lovely pair of earrings, a bracelet or necklace, or even as a keyring feature.
Purists believe orange agate balances the mind, body and spirit and assists in improving memory and concentration.
First discovered around the 3rd and 4th century BC by a Greek philosopher who named the stone after the Archates river in Italy, agate is found worldwide and comes in virtually all colours of the rainbow.
And because of its versatility, it is used in many ways – headstones, beads, carvings, amulets, jewellery, construction, building, etc.
Please note - some images have been enlarged to show detail, while colours may vary slightly due to lighting variants.
