Himalayan Artistry – Tibet
Each of the 12 beads in this collection of 12x15mm handmade dZi beads contain a traditional end capping of hammered silver with an embossed floral-like design.
Tribal and ethnic in every sense, these agate beads have been crafted by the nomadic people from Tibet – a group native to the high-altitude regions of the Himalayas.
Loosely translated, dZi means ‘shine, brightness, clearness and splendour’. The bead is an agate gemstone and worn as an amulet – widely regarded as a good-luck charm for Buddhists – who believe it is a sacred item considered to contain positive energy from the heavens.
There’s no doubt they can be used to create amazing ethnic-inspired statement jewellery items such as necklaces, bracelets or an ankle bangle.

The five beads in this collection weigh in at about 16 grams - have been heavily discounted and now work out to cost $2.33 each.
All our Tibetan beads contain a decent 1-1.5mm top-drill hole which is suitable for threading with round leather, Tigertail or craftline (similar to fishing line).
