There’s something very unique about this elongated piece of stone which measures 28x65mm.
It resembles a timber log which has been hollowed and now contains a massive 9mm hole - transversing the entire length of the well-worn stone believed to be marble - highly collectible.
Infact, we understand it is an old Chinese hollowed-out amulet.
Legend claims this very old amulet was worn as a pendant to prevent the wearer from broken limbs.
The Chinese believe that the amulet will break instead of their limbs during a fall.
Regardless, this unusual looking talisman could be threaded with a thick piece of rope and worn around the neck.
Collectors might prefer to display the piece in a cabinet, while others may like to exercise their creativity – and utilise the amulet in vintage, ethnic or tribal-style inspired jewellery.
