A nice collection of 23 pieces of Kenya’s fabled Kazuri-coloured ceramic clay beads - with a popular giraffe skin design.
In the African Swahili language, Kazuri means ‘small and beautiful’ – and that’s exactly what the ladies in the Nairobi factory have produced.
The clay used to make these beautiful beads come from the base of Mount Kenya.
After being hand-shaped, they are then hand-painted with simple designs which in turn, is followed by hand-glazing before being popped into the kiln to be fired.
These highly collectible beads would make the perfect ingredients for creativity – particularly for those artisans leaning towards tribal or ethnic-inspired jewellery.
Jewellery could include an exotic necklace, an eye-catching bracelet, or even a head-turning pair of earrings.
Each bead comes with a 2mm hole for easy threading.
Although the beads in this collection are handmade, they vary in size and texture.
