Collection: Rare-Ethnic-Tribal Beads

For almost a quarter century we have been sourcing, gathering and collecting beads from right around the world.

Many of those beads were either rare, or very desirable ethnic or tribal beads.

Now, many of those beads that had been our pride and joy are now looking for a new home – either as a collectable piece to put on display, to add to a collection or as an ingredient for a stylish piece of jewellery.

By flicking through the pages of our website, we take you on an online adventure that will take you on a journey to exotic and faraway places you may have only dreamed about.

The people of those faraway places have created hand-made clay beads from Afghanistan, 200-year old African Trade beads, hand-carved mud cloth batik bone beads from Kenya and ancient ethnic conch beads from the Himalayas.

Not to mention the sliced mushroom beads meticulously carved out of jade, fabulous turquoise nuggets from Tibet or the four-sided etched mutton-fat cubes – that come with Chinese script engraving.

Or if you prefer the Siam red Cinnabar beads from China, 2000-year old Roman glass beads, hand-made ceramic Kazuri beads from Kenya or a twig of Burmese sea coral.
