This collection of five unique Kazakh tribal Brass and Silver Bicones – measuring 15x43mm, were made by the traditionally nomadic Sunni Muslim people known as Kazakhs, originally from the Ural Mountains in Kazakhstan.

These bicones are hollow and decorated with applied intricate silver wire whipping and filigree bands – plus a series of triangular ‘false granulation’ imprints.

Crude in texture, each Bicone is individually hand-made in the Kazakh style by these nomadic tribal people who have settled in the northern regions of Afghanistan. Their style is often mistaken for Turkoman craftsmanship – which is actually, quite different, because their beads do not contain the ‘False Granulation’.

There’s no question these beads can be used to create stunning ethnic or tribal jewellery – whether it be a pair of earrings or necklaces.

The beads in this collection weigh in at around 35 grams - have been discounted and now cost $6.00 each.

All our Kazakh Brass and Silver Bicones contain a decent 2-4mm top-drill hole which is suitable for threading with round leather, Tigertail or craftline (similar to fishing line).

Please note, the accompanying images may have been enlarged to show detail, while colours may vary slightly due to lighting variants.

Also bear in mind these beads are not new, and because they are hand-made, many contain small imperfections.
