For more than 20 years, Rose has been designing and handcrafting exceptional jewellery, drawing inspiration from her Canadian Indigenous heritage, her travels and the rich cultural diversity of the people she encountered.
During the years Rose and her husband, Marius, owned two of Western Australia’s best-known bead shops in Broome and Margaret River, she had access to an extraordinary array of materials sourced from around the world - from tribal beads and stones from Afghanistan and Nepal to handmade African beads, exotic finds from India and Indonesia, and rare, centuries-old Venetian trade beads.
Each piece Rose creates is unique - a genuine one-of-a-kind creation, reflecting her own artistic vision and the influences of her Indigenous Canadian roots, her travels and the many fascinating people she met through the couple’s shops.
Her designs bring together an exceptional array of materials, combining semi-precious stones such as lapis lazuli, malachite, turquoise and amethyst with natural materials including coral, pearl shell, bone, wood and metal.
More than adornment, Rose’s jewellery tells a story - a meeting of cultures, traditions and natural beauty, expressed through the hands of an artist whose work is as individual as the materials she uses.
