300-grams - blissful 'Forest Greenin amazinshapes

From our extensive range of resin beads, we have created nine different colour packages plus this particular collection we call our ‘Forest Green' - beads which have been made in Java and other places throughout Indonesia.

It’s become one of the most popular colour mixes and represents just about all the colours of the rainbow - including green, olive, teal, emerald green, lime, forest green, mint, amazon, avocado, apple and chartreuse.

The 300 gram package contain an assortment of shapes and sizes ranging between 8mm and 60mm.

This Forest Green' collection of resin contains approximately 120 pieces with a 1.5-2.5mm centre drill hole and come in a variety of shapes and sizes including – diamonds, slabs, cubes, hearts, drops, round, tabular, oval, bicones and some etched with bird inscriptions.

And a virtual steal at 0.10 a bead.

The pieces allow for optimum creativity and temper exciting jewellery prospects – ideal ingredients for necklaces, bracelets and earrings, and also for bead curtains and suncatchers.

The accompanying photo illustrates what you can expect in the mix; however, be mindful that from time to time, there may be some minor variations depending on availability.

All our resin beads are made in Java, Indonesia.

The process involved in making these beads is quite interesting.

The four main ingredients are: an epoxy liquid resin and hardener, a liquid or powder dye solution and a resin casting mould. (Resin dyes are available in transparent or opaque pigments).

Simply, the dye solution is mixed in with a quantity of liquid resin, which is then coupled with an epoxy hardening agent and stirred until the liquid is bubble free.

Attention to accuracy is essential at this point; too much of either resin or hardener will alter the chemical balance –which results in the mixture not curing properly. Once everything has been prepared and mixed thoroughly, the solution is poured into the moulds of choice. Some resin will cure quite quickly, while others will take a few hours.

Once set, holes are manually drilled, and the beads sanded and filed.
