Turkoman Artistry - Afghanistan
A fabulous collection of seven large traditional Turkoman Beads that will certainly make heads turn after you’ve created a tribal or ethnic-style necklace with them!
Jewellery-making at its very extreme!!
These brass and hollow white metal beads are decorated with a 16-leaf tear drop pattern – which have been inlaid with coloured enamel – resembling semi-precious stones such as coral, jasper, lapis lazuli or malachite.
The Turkoman (or Turkman) are tribal people with Turkmenistan origins – now living in the northern regions of Afghanistan and Iran.
Quite crude in texture, these beads are stunning in their craftsmanship.
The beads in this collection weigh it at about 115 grams - have been heavily discounted and now work out to cost roughly $10.00 each.
These Brass and White Metal Turkoman Beads contain a decent 2-4mm top-drill hole which is suitable for threading round leather, tigertail or craftline (similar to fishing line).
The accompanying photos illustrate what to expect in your order. But please be mindful that from time to time there may be some minor variations depending on availability.
