A Bead Collection - Like No Other !!
Unable to sell their well-established store as a going entity, Marius and Rose decided to close the doors to the bead emporium they had been operating for almost 20 years, pack up their stock and move on to create a brand-new online store they named after their legendary retail shop of the same name – https://Margriverbeads.com.
At its peak, Margaret River Beads was arguably the most well-known bead shop in Western Australia, operating from 2002 until the end of 2019. (Pictured above are images of the shop).
Together with Broome Beads (their sister shop in Broome), each shop carried a permanent range of 6000 beads and findings, plus a selection of Rose's renowned beaded jewellery. The two stores offered beaders and visitors two of the largest bead collections in the state - and became must stops for people looking for beads.
But as a notable scholar once said, all good things must come to an end – and that notion summed it up for Marius and Rose (pictured right) who needed a sea change after spending the 'noughties' and the 'twenty tens' running their shops and sourcing the finest beads and findings found anywhere.
